I've been making my first contact with some people from the Muay Thai world and they're just as nice and respectful as the BJJ people. I know we all know it, and I know it gets said eighteen times a day, but I really think there's a higher percentage of genuinely kind, personally open and humble people in the world of BJJ/MMA than the rest of society.

I think recreational fighting is good for the soul.
ReplyDeletehaha i second that
ReplyDeleteDefinitely good for the soul, but also... What better place to learn humility and respect for other people than in a place where everyone knows how to fight?
ReplyDeleteI think fighting gets the arrogance bounced out of you pretty quick. Seems like someone will take you down a notch if you need it. I also think it takes alot to walk into a class the first time and admit that everyone there can work you over.
